Attracting Hummingbirds
A key tip for attracting hummingbirds is "the more feeders, the more birds." For an average yard, 4 to 10 feeders spaced apart will work best. This keeps the dominant hummingbird from ruling the roost.
Hummingbirds will feed more during their southward migration than northern migration, this is due to breeding season. Consistant feeding year after year will attract generations of hummingbirds. The key to attracting hummingbirds to a new feeder is have them up when hummingbirds first arrive. April and May are good target dates
